HOW TO GET THE BEST OUT OF SEARCH

Piktour's search facility will look for your search terms in the Filename, Description, Keywords or Metadata.

Like most websites Piktour's Search defaults to 'Or' behavior.

With 'Or' behavior a Search for 'Neville Wootton' will return:

1) All Pictures with 'Neville'
2) All Pictures with 'Wootton'

For 'Require' behaviour use the '+' Plus term, then 'Neville+Wootton' will return:

1) All Pictures with 'Neville Wootton'
2) Exclude Pictures of 'Neville Smith'

For 'Omit' behaviour use the '-' Minus term, then '-Neville Wootton' will return:

1) All Pictures with 'Wootton'
2) Exclude Pictures of 'Neville Wootton'

For 'String' behaviour use "" Double Quotation Marks, then "Neville Wootton Photography" will return:

1) All Pictures with 'Neville Wootton Photography'
2) Will not include Pictures with 'Neville', 'Wootton', 'Neville Wootton' or 'Photography'

For 'Require String' behaviour use '+' within the Quotes, then Winner "+Neville Wootton" will return:

1) All Pictures with 'Winner'
2) All Pictures with 'Neville Wootton'

For 'Omit String' behaviour use '-' within the Quotes, then Winner "-Neville Wootton" will return:

1) All Pictures with 'Winner'
2) Exclude Picures of 'Winner'
3) Exclude Pictures of 'Neville Wootton'
