WALK | Cornwall | Leskernick Hill-Buttern Hill

In our quest to view Bodmin Moor’s Brown Willy and RoughTor from all angles we dropped off the A30 at Trewint and started walking.
Sunday morning was curtailed by a plumbing emergency so I quickly mapped out a short afternoon walk taking in Sharp Tor, some nearby Cairns and Boundary Rock.
There was such a huge variety of interest on this beautiful walk and for most of the day we had this stunning Bodmin Moor landscape to ourselves.
Feeling the need for a sea air fix we we headed for the SW Coast Path and walked between the surprisingly glorious Pentewan Sands and the nature reserve at Ropehaven.
Still heeding the stay local Covid policy we are more than happy to revisit Trewortha Tor today.
Time to revisit Brown Willy and Rough Tor on Bodmin Moor again.
The weather forecast was bad…..rain, rain and more rain!
The weather forecast was horrendous for our local area so we headed to Bude that has it’s own micro climate which invariably is better.
Happy to stay local now that we have discovered this area of Bodmin Moor to go walking.
In the spirit of staying local we ventured only slightly further north to the East Moor area of Bodmin Moor.
Stay local…..Covid guidance Jan 2021…..so glad we took heed. This stunning area is right on our doorstep…..another great find!
What a find! Hard to believe we’ve never been here before. Absolutely stunning New Year’s Day Walk where the vistas just kept coming as we walked around the headland.
Covid took out our Xmas break here so we came down on Boxing Day and enjoyed a sublime walk around St Ives…..Cornwall’s Gem.
